Rockland Open to Benefit Community Programs

Nyack, NY, March 29 -- The United Way of Rockland County and the Rockland Business Association have teamed up to bring Rockland a premier golf event to benefit community programs.

The Rockland Open, presented by Active International and Good Samaritan Hospital, will be held on Monday, May 21, at two great golf courses – Rockland Country Club and Minisceongo Golf Club.

The Corporate Challenge will be held at Rockland Country Club where corporate teams, at $2,500 per foursome, will vie for the Rockland Open trophy. The $2,500 registration fee covers green fees, carts, continental breakfast, snack, cocktail reception and Grand Dinner Buffet. Businesses and Individuals can participate in the Rockland Open at the Minisceongo Golf Club at $250 per golfer. The $250 registration fee covers green fees, carts, brunch, cocktail reception and Grand Dinner Buffet.

Organizations can also support the Rockland Open by signing on as sponsors. Provident Bank is sponsoring Rockland Open jackets and wind-shirts, Union State Bank is sponsoring the golf carts, the Park Ridge Marriott is sponsoring the breakfast at Rockland Country Club and the Journal News is sponsoring the Beverage Carts.

Remaining sponsorship availabilities include the Grand Dinner Buffet at $7,500, the Minisceongo Golf Club Brunch at $2,000, the Driving Range at both clubs at $1,500 and hole signs for one course at $200 or $300 for both courses.

Rockland Business Association educates, promotes and advocates for the business community of Rockland County. The United Way of Rockland County works to improve lives by mobilizing the community, raising resources and allocating them to build a strong, vibrant community.
