United Way of Rockland County
Announces
CEO/President Naomi Adler to Step Down
NYACK, NY, January 14, 2008— The United Way of Rockland County (UWRC)
announced today that Naomi Adler has informed the executive board of directors
of her decision to step down as chief executive officer. Ms. Adler, who joined UWRC in 2001, has
announced she is leaving to pursue a new position within the United Way. She will be departing in February of this
year. The United Way will begin a search for a
replacement immediately.
Howard Hellman, Chairman of the UWRC Board,
commented, “We will miss Naomi’s energy.
Under her guidance, she helped the Board bring United Way of Rockland County
to the professional level that it is today. We look forward to working with her
in her new position as President and CEO of United Way of Westchester and
Putnam as we are partners with them in many initiatives including bringing 211,
the United Way
helpline, to everyone in the Hudson
Valley.”
“I am quite proud of what the United Way of Rockland has accomplished over the past seven
years. I, personally, have greatly
appreciated the support of so many facets of the community as together we have
helped so many people in Rockland
County,” added Ms. Adler.
United
Way of Rockland County is a local, independent non-profit dedicated to building
a stronger Rockland
community. Here in Rockland, UWRC is focused on the most critical
issues including protecting and meeting basic needs, nurturing children and
youth and enhancing seniors’ independence.
